We
found it impossible to buy flavoursome pork and
so have a few rare breed pigs at the farm. We have
tried Saddlebacks, English Lops and Berkshires. Currently
we have Berkshires and although they are a small,
slow growing pig, the taste is second to none in our
opinion. Like all the meat we produce here at Lickhill its
the quality that comes first regardless of how long it
takes to produce. With the help of our neighbours, who produce
apple juice, we are feeding them apple pulp as well as letting
them forage amongst the weeds.
